Foxborough Police Looking for Suspect in Dunkin' Donuts Robbery

Foxborough police may have a lead in its investigation of an unarmed robbery that took place at a local Dunkin’ Donuts Tuesday night and are asking the public for further assistance in identifying the suspect.

“We have a photo [of the suspect],” Foxborough Chief of Police Edward O’Leary said. … “We are just hoping that with some help from the public [someone will recognize the suspect] and that will be the trigger to have him identified.”

The unarmed robbery reportedly took place around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 30 Commercial St. Police were notified of the incident by a patron who thought the robbery was a domestic disturbance between the suspect and the clerk.

What occurred was an alleged scuffle between the suspect and the clerk after the cash drawer was opened to complete a transaction for a doughnut. The suspect allegedly assaulted the clerk before fleeing the Dunkin’ Donuts with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5-foot-7 with brown hair and medium build.

UPDATED: Man Arrested for OUI After Allegedly Striking Pedestrian Following Monday Night's Patriots Game

Massachusetts State Troopers on detail following Monday night's New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium arrested a Southwick man and charged him with OUI after he allegedly struck a pedestrian in Foxborough.

"Early this morning at about 1 a.m., Trooper Michael Isom was working the Patriots Game detail when he was informed by a passing motorist that there was an accident close to his assigned post," state police said.

Daniel Lishness, 27, of Southwick was arrested and charged with OUI Liquor 2nd offense, leaving the scene of personal injury, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and OUI liquor with serious injury and negligent operation.

Police Logs: Walpole Man Faces 7 Charges Following Hit and Run in Foxborough

A Walpole man was arrested Monday by Foxborough police on seven charges following an alleged motor vehicle hit and run in town.

James A. McEachern, 23, of 25 Eldor Dr., Walpole was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, carrying a dangerous weapon (switchblade), malicious destruction of property over $250, leaving scene of property damage, assault with a dangerous weapon, threat to commit crime (to wit kill/shoot) and malicious damage to motor vehicle following the alleged incident at 60 Railroad Ave. in Foxborough just before 10:30 p.m.

Foxborough Voters Approve Turf Field Project at Tuesday's Special Town Meeting

Foxborough is finally getting a turf field.

After years of planning, fundraising and volunteering, Turf's Up's proposal passed its final test Tuesday at Special Town Meeting when 260 of 389 voters said "yes" to Article 6, effectively bringing a community turf field to Foxborough High School.

Turf's Up is a local committee comprised of volunteers and chaired by Foxborough resident and Board of Seletmen chair James DeVellis. The committee's vision for a turf field in Foxborough began four years ago and culminated Tuesday night when Article 6 passed Special Town Meeting, 260-129.

Results from Foxborough's Special Town Meeting 2012

Foxborough's 2012 Special Town Meeting drew a crowd of roughly 408 voters to the Foxborough High School auditorium Tuesday, according to Town Clerk Bob Cutler.

The majority of the 408 residents were in attendance to vote "yes" or "no" on Article 6, the turf field project, (click here for more on the article) and left after it was approved, 260-129.

Those remaining proceeded to review and vote on the remainder of the STM 2012 Warrant articles (click the link below to view the results from STM 2012).

UPDATE: Injured Hiker Found at F. Gilbert Hills State Forest; Transported to Norwood Hospital

The Foxborough Fire Department issued a full department recall just after 4 p.m. Saturday to search for the injured hiker, who was described as a male in his 20s reportedly suffering from a torn quadricep muscle, according to reports.

Due to difficult terrain at the state forest, Foxborough Fire called for additional manpower to assist in the search just before 4:30 p.m. Roughly 20 minutes later, Foxborough Fire reported it had located the injured hiker and was transporting him to Norwood Hospital. The hiker was reportedly conscious and alert but unable to walk due to his injury.

Police Arrest 6 at Monday’s Patriots-Texans Game at Gillette Stadium

A crowd of over 65,000 was on hand in Foxborough Monday night to witness the New England Patriots dismantle the AFC-leading Houston Texans, 42-14 at Gillette Stadium.

Of the 65,435 in attendance, Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary reported there were 48 police-related incidents, including six arrests.

Judge: Lawsuit Against Kraft Companies Can Go to Trial

Norfolk County Superior Court Judge Patrick Brady dismissed the lawsuit against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft involving the deaths of two women in 2008 following a car crash after a Country Music Festival concert at Gillette Stadium but ruled the lawsuit against three of Kraft's companies, FXP, NPS and TeamOps can go to trial.

Parents of Debra Davis appeared in Dedham District Court on Nov. 20 claiming Kraft and his companies are "partly responsible" for the death of their daughter and one of their daughter's friends following a car crash after the 2008 New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium, according to 7News.

Forty-four Ahern Middle School students showcased their talents and love for the arts this weekend during a two-day performance of Pat Cook's "Run for the Money."

The play takes place in the living room of the late Fosdick Floogee, an eccentric game enthusiast who does not put much faith in his family. After his death, he leaves his estate to his family members but they must find their inheritance. To accomplish this, he gives each family member a clue as to how they can find their fortune.
