$160,000 Raised at Boys & Girls Club's Gala
Thanks to our great supporters, we are able to provide the opportunity for a strong future to over 700 kids each day in the MetroWest community, said Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest President Fran Hurley.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest raised a record $160,000 at its 2012 Bids for Kids Auction & Gala at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel.
Guests, sponsors, and honorees attended and participated in an extensive silent auction and raffle, as well as the Fund a Need portion of the evening, to benefit the quality out-of-school programs offered by the organization.
Celebrity emcee Susan Wornick of WCVB Channel 5 was a crowd pleaser for the fifth year in a row and shared with the attendees the importance of supporting the kids of MetroWest.

“I want to thank all of our outstanding sponsors and supporters who helped make this year’s gala another tremendous success,” said Fran Hurley, president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metrowest in a press release. “The evening focused on Strong Kids, Strong Futures, and thanks to our great supporters, we are able to provide the opportunity for a strong future to over 700 kids each day in the MetroWest community.”
