UPDATED: 2 Students Found With Marijuana at Framingham High Library

Assault at Framingham High cafeteria on Thursday.

Framingham Police were involved with two incidents at Framingham High on Thursday between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“Yesterday in the library, there was an odor of marijuana. Administrators and police were contacted and two students were found in possession of marijuana,” wrote Framingham High Principal Elyse Torbert in an email to parent just after 11:30 a.m. on Friday. “Appropriate actions have been taken both by the school and by the police.”

“About an hour later, there was also an assault that took place in the cafeteria,” wrote Torbert. “Again, police and administrators were immediately involved. Both students received medical attention and appropriate school consequences and charges have been issued.”

Torbert said both incident took place between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25.

“I am writing about these incidents so that there is no misconceptions about what has happened. Both incidents took place in very public places. There also may be a video that was recorded of part of the assault. My hope is that this video will not circulate,” wrote Torbert to parents.

“The safety of our students, as always, is of utmost importance and we will continue to monitor the safety of all students,” concluded the email.
