5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: April 8

Free presentation on the Boston Marathon and its history, mile by mile, at the main Framingham Library tonight.

1. Framingham Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.

On the agenda is a request from Taqueria Mexico to approve a transfer of its operating and liquor license from Worcester Road to 40 Concord Street.

2. Author Paul Clerici talks about his new book Boston Marathon History by the Mile, all from an experienced runner’s viewpoint tonight at the main Framingham Library at 7. Tonight’s free presentation historical facts, stories, tidbits, tales and landmarks and more. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing. Refreshments will be served.

3. Framingham State University senior Zoe Reilly and junior Stephanie Leonard, a Framingham High product, combined for 9 goals in the Rams victory over UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday.

4. Framingham High boys volleyball team will host Brookline at 5:15 p.m. today at the high school.

5. Plan ahead: Later this month, the Framingham High School show choir - known as Vocal Cannons - will travel to Disney. To help defray the cost of the trip, Vocal Cannons is holding a benefit concert Friday, April 10, at 7 p.m. at Framingham High’s auditorium. It’s a show for all ages, with songs from Hercules to Pete’s Dragon. Donations will be accepted at the door.
