5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: December 16
Holiday concert at Framingham High tonight and skateboarders wanted for a design meeting at Nevins Hall for a future skate park in town.

1. The Framingham High band and jazz band will hold a holiday concert at the high school’s auditorium tonight at 7. Suggestion donation is $5.
2. Skateboarders are invited to a design workshop tonight at Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building from 7 to 9.

The 11-member committee voted on potential sites last week; and the top three were:
- Butterworth Park
- Mary Dennison Playground
- Farm Pond Park
In May, Town Meeting voted to move forward with plans to build a skate park in the Town of Framingham.

3. FLYERS in action:
- Framingham High boys basketball team defeated the Natick Red Hawks in its home opener Tuesday night.
- Gymnastics team won its season opener against Walpole.
- Wrestling team had a huge victory over Brookline 53-9 Tuesday night.
- Girls basketball team lost to Natick Tuesday night. The team has an away game against Weston tonight at 7.
- Framingham High boys hockey team hosts Natick High at Loring at 6:45 tonight
- Girls ice hockey has an away game against Natick at 7:40 tonight
4. MUSTANGS in action:
- The Marian High swim team lost to Arlington Catholic Tuesday night. Click here for more details.
- This afternoon the combined Marian High/Keefe Technical hockey team travels for a game against nashoba Tech at 7 p.m.
5. Massachusetts Bay Community College will hold its bi-annual Fall STEM Expo today on its Wellesley campus from 1 to 3 p.m. Students in the Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Automotive Technology and Biotechnology fields will be presenting their work to the MassBay college community as well as external partners. The Fall STEM Expo is an opportunity for MassBay students to showcase their creativity and innovation through the projects they have completed during the course of the semester. Guests learn about the students’ research as well as the processes that went into the creation of their work.
