Jack's Abby To Host Second Weekend Of German Christmas Market

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The German-inspired brewery Jack's Abby has celebrated Oktoberfest, but they're also prepped for another major German holiday milestone: The Christmas market.

The market will return on Saturday and Sunday for the second of two consecutive weekends.

The German Christmas Market features 12 unique vendors each weekend showcasing a selection of handcrafted goods, holiday treats and locally made gifts.

• Ma’s Marmalades
• Wilson Woods Works
• Burkes Candles
• Baer Ceramics & Pottery
• Trashy Lil Treasures

Santa Claus will be making a surprise visit on Dec. 14 from 1 - 3 p.m.

In the spirit of giving, Jack’s Abby is also hosting a toy drive for local Framingham non-profit Hoops and Homework.

Donate a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 5-12 and help those in need this season. All donations will receive 20 percent off their meal as a thank you, officials said.

Guests can enjoy mulled wine, hot hard cider and hot chocolate. Jack’s Abby new seasonal beer releases will be flowing as well. They include:

• Extra Layer - Winter Fest Lager - Wrap yourself in cozy flavors with Extra Layer, a Munich-style dark lager boasting rich caramel and toffee notes. 6.0%

• Framinghammer - Imperial Baltic Porter - This is a big Baltic Porter that might remind you of an Imperial Stout with noticeable sweetness, balanced by roasted malt and hop bitterness. A lengthy conditioning creates a smooth, chocolaty mouthfeel enhanced by brown sugar. 10%

• Bourbon Barrel Aged Framinghammer - Baltic Porter Aged in Bourbon Barrels - Framinghammer is a unique creation that pays homage to our Jack’s Abby hometown of Framingham MA. Each batch spends a lengthy conditioning period in various casks to create a smooth, chocolatey texture that compliments some creative additions. 12%

• Toy Soldier - Christmas Lager - Indulge in holiday cheer with ‘Toy Soldier,’ a Christmas Lager crafted in the spirit of a Grand Cru. This festive lager features the warming embrace of honey and rye, harmoniously spiced with orange zest, ginger and nutmeg. 7.8%

The German Christmas Market is held outside in the beer garden from 12 to 6 p.m. on all days.
