Framingham Fire responded to a report of a fire on Birch Road. Framingham Public Schools students released early today.

1. Framingham Fire responded to a report of a dryer fire at 35 Birch Road Tuesday night. Fire department reported smoke but no fire.

2. Students in the Framingham Public Schools and McAuliffe Charter School will have an early release today. There is no school on Dec. 24. Students are on the holiday break and will not return to the classroom until Monday, Jan. 4.

  • Barbieri, Dunning, Stapleton, Woodrow Wilson Elemetary Schools: 12:05 p.m.
  • Brophy, Hemenway, Potter Road Elementary Schools: 12:15 p.m.

3. FLYERS in action:

  • Both the Framingham High boys basketball team and the girls basketball team lost to Needham Tuesday night.
  • Tonight, the Boys hockey team hosts Needham at 8 p.m. The girls travel to Needham for an 8:20 game.
