1. Walsh Middle School will hold its open house tonight for current fifth grade students and their parents. There will be tours and activities. Doors open at 6. Event is from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.
The middle school’s Jazz band will be performing.Parents will start in the auditorium before going on tours and viewing an informational presentation with teachers. Students will be going to the cafeteria with the school’s peer leaders for activities and tours.
2. PLAN AHEAD: Join the Framingham Public Library for its Brown Bag Learning Series tomorrow, December 4 at noon for a holiday cookie swap Framingham resident Daphne Smith will present the how-to event. Discover new recipes, decorating and packaging ideas. Bakers are welcome to bring in a batch of your famous cookies or a copy of your favorite recipe. As the Framingham main Library is still closed, the event will take place in the Blumer Room at the Memorial Building.

3. Tonight is the Amazing Things Folk Open Mike, which offers a friendly supportive venue for developing singer-songwriters and folks who “just like to play”. It is a great way to get to know the music community, and to share ideas and techniques. All types of music are welcome. The host is singer-songwriter Dan Cloutier. The featured artist tonight is Brian Austin. Admission is $6 and $3 for students.
4. PLAN AHEAD: the Framingham Garden Club will hold its Annual Green Sale starting tomorrow, Dec. 4 at the Cushing Maintenance Building inside Cushing Memorial Park. The sale is Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
