Framingham Apartment Fire Sends 1 To Hospital With Smoke Inhalation: City
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham apartment fire sent one resident to the hospital with smoke inhalation, according to a media release from the city.
Firefighters responded to the fire on Irving Street near Hollis Street about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the release said.

"The fire originated in a first-floor laundry room of the multi-level apartment building," according to the release.

"The fire was held in check by an activated sprinkler head prior to firefighters’ arrival," the release said, and firefighters limited damage to the laundry room area, Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher said in the release.

One resident was taken to MetroWest Medical Center and treated for smoke inhalation, according to the release.
