5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: January 8
Show Boat at the Callahan Center thanks to the Friends of the Framingham Library and American Idol contestant at Framingham middle school.
1. Season 13 American Idol contestant and Andover native Casey McQuillen will perform a private show at Fuller Middle School this afternoon. Framingham Patch will have photos and a report Saturday.
2. Friends of the Framingham Library is sponsoring a free screening of the 1936 movie Show Boat tonight at 7 at the Callahan Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and close at 7:15. The New York Times calls it one of the great American musicals. It was just recently released on DVD.
