1. Learn about homeopathy at the Framingham Library's March Brown Bag Learning Series event today from noon to 1 p.m. at new McAuliffe branch library.

Vera Volfson, CCH will give an introduction to Homeopathy and discuss remedies for alleviating conditions such as allergies, cold and flu. She will also cover the most common remedies for home emergencies (burns, stings, food poisoning, cuts, bruises). Vera will be happy to answer your questions on the topics presented. A free 30 minute private consultation will be offered for attendees.

Volfson is nationally certified in classical homeopathy and is a registered member of the North American Society of Homeopaths. She has a private practice in Framingham.

2. Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers will take the stage at Amazing Things Arts Center tonight at 8.

"Harpe is one of the most dynamic, talented and exciting roots rocking blues women on the scene and it’s time she gets noticed, as she has it all — a golden voice and the guitar chops that dazzle," says the downtown Framingham Arts Center on its website.

Tickets are still available and will be sold at the door. $8, $15 members, $17 seniors and students and $9 for children under age 12.

3. Framingham High students wanting to play a spring sport have until today to register online.

4. King Elementary School has received a $1,280 grant from the MutualOne Charitable Foundation to support the implementation of a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in its first year.

5. The Massachusetts Senate yesterday, March 3 passed a handful of bills related to issues impacting persons with disabilities. The bills include removing archaic language in current laws that refer to persons with disabilities, establishing an Office of Health Equity within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, requiring the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office to develop standards to identify and recruit qualified applicants with disabilities, and expanding the authority of the Architectural Access Board to improve compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
