5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: September 11
Town of Framingham will hold a 9/11 ceremony. Framingham high sports update, Brown Bag series at library and music at Amazing Things.
The ceremony, weather permitting, will take place outside at the 9/11 Memorial inside Cushing Memorial Park.
In the case of heavy rains, Patch will update with an alternative location for the ceremony.

2. The Framingham Public Library brown bag lunch series continues today with Framingham resident Heidi McIndoo, who will talk about ways to live on the cheap. The free lecture starts at noon at the main Framingham Library on Lexington Street. Click here for more details.

- The Framingham High girls swim & dive team has its open opener tonight at 7 at the Keefe Technical pool. The girls are 1-0 on the season.
- The Framingham High football team opens its season tonight at Bowditch Field against Norwood at 7.
- The Framingham High boys soccer team is supposed to host Natick at 3:45 p.m. today. It is likely to be cancelled due to the weather.
4. King Elementary School’s PTO is hosting an ice cream social for families at 6:30 p.m. The event is free in the cafeteria.
5. Will Dailey and Susan Cattaneo will take the stage at Amazing Things Arts Center tonight at 8. Tickets are still available.
Dailey’s latest album, National Throat, has been met with stellar reviews, and more than 3.5 million spins on Spotify. It won Album of the Year in the Boston Music Awards and New England Music Awards. Dailey, is a three-time winner of the Boston Music Award for Best Singer Songwriter and 2014 Artist of the Year.
Cattaneo, a songwriting professor at Berklee College of Music, blends country, rock and soul with sparkles of blues and folk. Her album Little Big Sky was nominated for Best Country Album for the 13th Independent Music Awards.
