AAA: Gas Prices Down 7 Cents

The current price is 12 cents less than the national average for self-serve unleaded of $2.39.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down seven cents from last week, according to AAA Northeast, which has an office in Framingham.

AAA’s Sept. 8 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.27 per gallon, down seven cents from last week.

Prices locally are 25 cents less than a month ago.

The current price is 12 cents less than the national average for self-serve unleaded of $2.39.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $1.18 higher at $3.45.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 83 cents, from a low of $2.06 to a high of $2.89.
