Cab Ride Ends With Arrest of Framingham Woman

According to a Friday report by the Metrowest Daily News, the woman was unable to pay for a ride from New York City.

A Framingham woman's cab ride from New York City reportedly ended with a trip to jail after she was unable to pay a fare of nearly $1,000.

The Metrowest Daily News reported late last week that Framingham resident Deice C. Rebelato, 31, took a $980 cab ride from JFK International Airport, and upon arriving in Framingham she told the driver the money was in her house. After going inside for 10 minutes, the woman came back and informed the man that she could not pay the bill.

Rebelato was taken by the cab driver to the Framingham Police station, where she was arrested and charged with larceny over $250. The charges will be dropped if Rebelato can pay the fare within 60 days, according to the newspaper.
