In Double OT, Rams Defeat Rhode Island College 2-1
The Framingham State women's soccer team will travel to Conference foe Worcester State on Saturday, Sept. 26. They are 5-2 on the season.

Framingham State senior Brini Varetimos scored with 36 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to propel the Rams over Rhode Island College in non-conference women’s soccer action Wednesday afternoon in Framingham.
The Rams struck first in the 27th minute when junior Lulu Foy beat the Anchorwomen’s keeper low to left with an assist coming from classmate Angela Pallotta.

The Anchorwomen answered midway through the second stanza when junior Jaclyn Greenman took a long lead pass from teammate Brittany DeGrooth and sent it past the Rams keeper to knot the score at 1-1.
The Rams had multiple opportunities to retake the lead outshooting RIC 32-11 for the contest and attempting 11 corners to the Anchorwomen’s 2.
The 11th corner for the Rams was the difference maker when freshman Megan White sent a strike to the nearside post that Varetimos gathered with her body and struck into the net for the game winner.
Freshman Keyonzia Gagne-Lamoureux made four saves in the win for the Rams. Freshman Stefanie Togbasi made six saves for RIC.
The Rams (5-2) will travel to MASCAC foe Worcester State on Saturday, Sept. 26 for a 5:30 p.m. start.
