Drivers Records Taken During Safe Theft at Registry
There were hundreds of driving records in a safe that was stolen from the Registry in Natick this past summer.

NATICK, MA - During a burglary this summer at Natick’s Registery of Motor Vehicles, the personal records of more than 100 drivers were taken.
The safe, filled with “sensitive information,” was taken during the burglary that happened at the end of July, reported the MetroWest Daily News, which obtained the information on the theft through a public records request.

The Registry warned the customers to be aware of possible identity theft activity after the safe was stolen. The safe was 100 pounds and located at the rear of the building.
Employees found the glass door smashed in the rear of the building on Monday, July 27,reported WCVB-TV.

There have been no arrests in the case.
The Natick Registry of Motor Vehicles is located at 296 North Main St.
