Express Train from Worcester to Boston Launches Today

The train will make one stop in Framingham on the way.

The MBTA is launching an express train connecting Worcester and Boston today, according to New England Cable News.

The commuter rail trip will leave Worcester at 6:20 a.m. and stop just once, in Framingham at 7 a.m., before arriving at South Station just after 7:45 a.m.

This new service will cut approximately 20 minutes from the usual trip, train officials told NECN.

The new express train will leave South Station and head to Worcester at 5:35 p.m. The cost for a round-trip ticket is $20.
