Framingham Construction Delays, Detours Continue Into Autumn
Framingham Department of Public Works has issued its weekly update on construction projects and where to expect detours and delays.

“A” Street: The northern portion of "A" Street from the intersection of Concord Street to Winch Park Road is temporarily closed to through traffic while sewer main construction is in progress. Construction activities are scheduled between 8 pm. and 5 a.m. daily. Click here for map.
Chouteau Avenue/LaSalle Avenue/Lake Road/Lakeview Avenue
Sewer main and water main construction will continue on Chouteau Avenue between LaClede Avenue and Lake Road; while construction is in progress it will be necessary to detour local traffic around the work zone. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Click here for map.
Concord Street/Anzio Road - New -- Construction crews will be performing conduit work and a manhole rehabilitation at the intersection of Concord Street and Anzio Road. While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed using a one lane alternating traffic management plan. Construction activities are scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Concord Street/Howard Street/Waverly Street - Updated
On Sunday, September 23, 2012 between the hours of midnight and 8 a.m. utility construction activities on Concord Street will restrict traffic to a single lane of travel in both the northbound and southbound lanes of Concord Street between Howard Street and Waverly Street. It is necessary to perform this work during the overnight hours to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general. Construction activites will resume at their regularly scheduled time of Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Click here for map.
Eaton Road/Hemenway Road/Colonial Drive: Construction crews will continue to perform deep gravity sewer main construction on Eaton Road, progressing through the easement in the cul-de-sac to Hemenway Road, crossing Hemenway Road and continuing across Hemenway Road to Colonial Drive with the deep gravity sewer main installation. While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed using a one lane alternating traffic management plan; and a potential temporary closure of Hemenway Road at the intersection of Colonial Drive. North Concord Street/Danforth Street - New
Expect delays while travelling in the area of Danforth Street and Concord Street while a telephone pole repair/replacement is performed due to a traffic incident; and in conjunction with the potential lane restrictions for the deep gravity sewer main construction on Concord Street between "A" Street and the Sudbury River. Construction activities will take place daily between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Click here for map.

Pond Street/Everit Avenue/Clark Street - Updated
Water main construction will continue on Pond Street, Everit Avenue and Clark Street; while construction is in progress it will to detour traffic locally utilizing the side streets daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Click here for map.
Prospect Street/Central Street/Kellogg Street: Prospect St. will be temporarily detoured to thru traffic between Central St. and Kellogg St. while roadway construction is in progress. For those wishing to travel south on Prospect St. from Central St., follow the detour from Central St. to Kellogg St., from Kellogg St. back on to Prospect St.; north bound traffic on Prospect St will be detoured at Kellogg St. Access will be provided to School Buses and emergency vehicles. Department of Public Works Highway Division Projects
Arsenal Road Roadway Restoration: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will begin roadway reconstruction activities on Arsenal Road. While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be detoured locally. All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area. Winthrop Street/Wood Avenue Roadway Restoration
The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue roadway reconstruction activities on Winthrop Street and Wood Avenue. While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be detoured locally. All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4p.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area. Sidewalk Restoration – South Concord Street
The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue to perform sidewalk restoration on the east side of Concord Street between Lincoln Street and Hartford Street. While construction activities are in progress, there is a potential for lane shifts. Please use caution when travelling in the area. Waushakum Street Sewer Main Replacement
Construction crews will continue sewer main installation activities on Waushakum Street. While construction activities are in progress, Waushakum Street will be detoured to through traffic utilizing Arlington Street, Eames Street and Alexander Street.
