Framingham To Host 2nd Purple Heart Ceremony This Summer
Framingham became a Purple Heart City in 2023. The city is looking for nominations for its 2025 event.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham will again honor some of the most decorated local veterans this summer.
The city will host its second annual Purple Heart Ceremony on Aug. 7 at the Memorial Building.
The event will honor Purple Heart recipients who live in Framingham, as well as Gold Star families of Framingham Purple Heart recipients, officials said.

Framingham became a Purple Heart City in 2023 and, on National Purple Heart Day, held its first-ever Purple Heart breakfast and ceremony.
This year's ceremony, scheduled for 9 a.m., will include an 8 a.m. breakfast followed by a formal tribute in Nevins Hall.

City officials are looking for applications to be honored at the event. That form can be found here.
The deadline to submit information for a nomination is July 31.
