Framingham Indoor Track Is Outrun by Needham

The Flyer boys and girls Indoor track competed against the defending Bay State Conference champions, Needham, on Thursday night.

Needham defeated both the Boys and Girls from Framingham in a competitive meet.
On the boy’s side, Senior Captain Mikey McDonald and states qualifier Brendan Retallic were out with injuries for this meet. On the Girl’s side, state qualifier Senior Captain Kristen DeVellis was also out with an injury.

The Flyers were running short handed, but several young athletes stepped up and performed well against the strong and fast Needham team.
Notably, Freshman Ben Burgess came in 3rd place in the 1000 meter race scoring 1 point for Framingham with a time of 2:56.
On the Girl’s side, Sophomore Zoie Carter Placed 2nd in the 300 meter scoring 3 points for Framingham with a time of 43.65 seconds.
The Flyers are determined to train even harder in order to be prepared to face Needham High School again in the upcoming outdoor season.
