Framingham Issues Free Parking On Small Business Saturday
Parking meters in downtown Framingham will be free all day on Saturday. What to know.

To spur economic development and support Framingham small businesses, the City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky has ordered parking meters to be free on Small Business Saturday - November 25, 2023.
“The goal of free parking meters is to make it easier for the public to visit and shop at the numerous small businesses in downtown Framingham,” said Mayor Sisitsky.

“Small businesses, including all the shops and restaurants throughout the City of Framingham, are the economic driver of our City, and employee thousands,” said the Framingham Mayor. “The significance of Small Business Saturday is that it encourages our residents to shop the small businesses, who support our community. Many of these small businesses in the City of Framingham donate and sponsor Framingham-based non-profits, schools, teams, and organizations throughout the year, and Saturday is a day to spend our dollars with them.”
“Small Business Saturday helps to infuse money back into the Framingham economy,” said Mayor Sisitsky.

A pre-Pandemic report from the U.S. Small Business Administration reported that small businesses accounted for 9.3 million new private sector jobs from 2005 to 2019 or 64% of all new jobs created.
