Framingham Lab Loses Nearly 10,000 Medical Records
A hard drive containing thousands of people's info, including Xrays and personal information, has been lost, according to officials.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—A Framingham radiology lab has lost medical documents for nearly 10,000 people, according to reports.
Charles River Medical Associates, which is a group of health care providers servicing nine MetroWest communities, including Framingham, Northborough, Natick, Holliston and Marlborough, can't locate a hard drivethat reportedly contains information and Xrays from anyone who got a bone density scan within the past eight years, reports WCVB-TV.
The drive was updated once a month with bone density records, and the breach was reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Patients were urged to guard against negative impacts in a letter provided to WickedLocal Framingham, which added that there were no Social Security numbers included, and that a search for the drive has ended.
Charles River Associates, in addition to a variety of doctors, offers a number of testing and diagnostic services.
