Framingham Learned Pond Closed To Swimming

High bacteria levels are to play for the indefinite no-swimming mandate. The city's two other beaches are open.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A popular Framingham pond is closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels, the city's Parks and Recreation Department announced.

Learned Pond is closed for swimming due to a high bacteria level, the city said. The E. coli health alert is until further notice, they said.

The city's two other beaches, Saxonville Beach and Waushakum Pond are open, however.

That's actually an improvement for the status of city beaches, as all three were closed two weeks ago due to high bacteria levels.
