Framingham Memorial Planned To Honor Rep. Chris Walsh
The Framingham democrat died at age 66 in early May of cancer.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Framingham is hosting a memorial service to celebrate the life of the Honorable Chris Walsh, who died in early May after a battle with cancer.
The memorial service is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, on the stairs of the Memorial Building, with a procession by the Massachusetts National Lancers, followed by remembrances and a reception at 4 p.m. in Nevins Hall.
Walsh was a Framingham democrat in his fourth term in the Massachusetts House. He was 66 years old.

An architect by trade and the House vice chairman of the Committee on Education, Walsh was first diagnosed in July 2015 with non-Hodgkin's, small lymphocytic lymphoma and he underwent treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
A year ago, Walsh had planned to compete to be the first mayor of Framingham but soon thereafter announced that his lymphoma had returned and he would instead remain in the House and undergo cancer treatment.
