Framingham Middle School Hockey Team Wins League Championship

The team finished 15-0-2 in the league and 21-2-2 overall under head coach Blake Bellefeuille.

The Framingham middle school level hockey team won the league championships defeating the Chieftains 8-0.

The team, comprised of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, finished the league season 15-0-2, under head coach Blake Bellefeuille.

The team scored 87 goals and only allowed 24 goals, said Bellefeuille.

The team’s top goal scorer was Robbie Lopez, followed by Jon Nichols.

Between the pipes for the team was Austin Villa and Zack LaBollita, who combined for a 1.41 goals against average.

The defense was led by Dom Leone and Ryan Watton.

Overall, the team’s record was 21-2-2.

The program was started about 15 years ago, with the help of Framingham High varsity boys hockey coach Paul Spear, said Bellefeuille. There were about 75 kids in the program this season, which mirrors the high school hockey season. Framingham had four teams.

Players on the winning team were: Villa, LaBollita, Dom Leone, Ryan Watton, Darrren Palma, Thomas Chase, Matt Chalmers, Dom Morelli, Lopez, Nichols, Joey Idelson, Will Trischitta, Sean MacInnis, Hunter Balducci, Ben Martel, Eric Kotkowski, Cole Deletti, PJ Farase, Jake Despres Jake Perry, and Jared Shimelman

Bellefeuille’s assistant coaches were John Leone and Francis Bellefeuille

Grade 8 players this season were Austin Villa, Zack LaBollita, Dom Leone, Ryan Watton, Robbie Lopez, Jon Nichols, Joey Idelson, Will Trischitta, Sean MacInnis and Jake Despres.
