Framingham Police Recover Illegal Gun After Domestic Dispute

One person faces firearms and domestic assault and battery charges.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A third illegal gun in just over a week was recovered by Framingham police, officials said.

Around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the area of Concord Street and Union Avenue after receiving reports of a fight between two parties.

When they arrived, officials interviewed the man and women involved in the fight and eventually developled what they said was probable cause to arrest Daniel Feeney, 32.

He was taken into custody in the police station parking lot and, after a search of his person and personal property, police found an unloaded revolver and a small amount of a controlled substance.

Feeney, who does not have proper firearms licensing, was charged with domestic assault and battery, firearm possession and possession of a controlled substance.
