Framingham Police Recover Stolen Car From Wellesley
An 18-year-old faces multiple charges after leading Framingham police on a chase before trying to ditch the car.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham police have recovered a car that was stolen just hours earlier in Wellesley, police said.
On Tuesday around 7 p.m., Framingham dispatchers were notified by Wellesley police that a stolen vehicle was being driven across the border into Framingham.
"A Be on the Lookout radio broadcast, or BOLO, was sent to officers on patrol and just moments later K9 Officer Andrew Lewis reported he was behind the vehicle and attempting to stop it in the area of Dennison Crossing," officials said.

"The vehicle fled the stop and was quickly caught up in rush hour congestion, ramming two vehicles in its attempt to elude police before becoming stuck and unable to move," they added.
The driver attempted to run from the vehicle but was quickly caught.

Now, an 18-year-old from Worcester faces charges including:
- Assault with a dangerous weapon
- Receiving a stolen vehicle
- Resisting arrest
- Marked lanes violation
- Failure to stop for police
- Unlicensed operation
