Framingham Quakers Celebrate 50 Years
The Framingham Quakers celebrated 50 years Saturday at the historic meetinghouse located on Edmands Road.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham Quakers celebrated 50 years Saturday at the historic meetinghouse located on Edmands Road. Over 100 people came out to enjoy a variety of activities on the grounds.
The highlight of the afternoon was a performance of “The Fairy Circus” by the wonderful Tanglewood Marionettes, which took place on the outdoor stage. Inside the meetinghouse, local musicians performed live music and a young Quaker filmmaker talked about the making of the viral video “What Does George Fox Say?” which was filmed in the second floor meeting room.
Photographs of New England Friends Meetinghouses from the book, “Framing the Light”, by Quaker photographer Jean Schnell were on display, along with informational tables representing a variety of community organizations and local and national Quaker groups. And, of course, there was birthday cake. Framingham Friends Meeting said they are very thankful for everyone who came to celebrate 50 years as part of this community.
