The department is in the process of releasing photos and videos from home security cameras in the hope that someone may be able to identify people involved by their clothing or mannerisms.
"The Framingham Police Department will be increasing patrols in the neighborhood to ensure safety," police said. "However, we want to encourage citizens to do their part in deterring criminals."
Strategies include locking all vehicle and home doors, gates, sheds and garages. Items should not be left in cars. Exterior lights, home alarm systems and cameras should be turned on in the evening.
