Framingham Sisters Grab Pre-Boston Marathon Race Wins
The Lamakina sisters won the Boston Athletic Association middle school 1k and scholastic mile race, respectively.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Two Framingham sisters are the winners of the annual midde school and high school races that preview Monday's Boston Marathon.
In the Boston Athletic Association middle school 1k and scholastic mile race, the two winners are Daria Lamakina and Sasha Lamakina, respectively.
The races were run on Saturday morning and include six races of middle school and high school students representing the eight communities along the Boston Marathon course, including Hopkinton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline and Boston.

The races finish near the marathon finish line.
Sasha Lamakina won the scholastic mile race with a 5:22.08 time. Her sister, Daria, took home the middle school 1k title with a 3:18.58 time.
