Framingham State Defeats Regis College 2-0
The Rams women's soccer team is now 3-1 on the season.

The Framingham State women’s soccer team defeated Regis College 2-0 in non-conference action Saturday evening at Maple St. Field.
With the win the Rams improve to 3-1 and the Pride drop to 0-3-1.

The Rams opened up scoring in the 26th minute when senior Marissa Miele headed a corner kick from freshman Megan White past the lunging Pride keeper.
The hosts added an insurance goal late in the game when White struck a onetime shot into the corner of the net from freshman Melissa Sybertz.

Framingham State controlled the tempo for most of the contest outshooting the visitors 33 to 3. The Pride’s best scoring opportunity came early in the first half when a corner kick was punched out by Rams keeper Sara Sullivan.
Sullivan made two saves in her third shutout of the season. Senior Rachel Gagnon made 13 saves in 90 minutes for the Pride.
The Rams return to action when they travel to Keene State in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for a 6 p.m. start.
