Framingham Unable To Get Into Endzone Against Natick
The grade 7 Framingham Youth Football team has its home opener on Sunday.

Framingham Youth Football grade 7 team travelled to Natick on Saturday.
Framingham had a chance to start with the ball, but they weren’t able to grab it on the kickoff and Natick recovered it.

However, the Flyer defense quickly stopped Natick and got the ball back.
Jamar Williams broke loose for a 30-yard run during the Flyers’ first play on offense, but they soon fumbled the ball and gave it back to Natick. The Redhawks then pushed the ball down the field and scored on a 1-yard run, making the score 8-0.

Framingham was eager to strike back on offense, but Natick recovered an onside kick and got possession again.
This allowed the Redhawks to extend their lead to 16-0 with a 46-yard touchdown run.
Although the Flyers gave up another touchdown and went into halftime down 22-0, they had some bright defensive moments such as a sack by William Villafane and Dante Marino, a hard tackle for no gain by Isaiah Martino and Ricky Santana, and a broken up pass by Jamar Williams.
The Flyer defense had a strong second half by not allowing Natick to move the ball very well, which included good tackles by Dante Marino, Isaiah Martino, and Cory Hemmer.
The Flyers had a stunning defensive play in the fourth quarter when Akye Boston intercepted a pass and returned it 55 yards. Boston followed up his interception with a 25-yard run, but the drive resulted in a turnover.
Framingham unfortunately couldn’t score during the game, and fell 22-0 to Natick.
Next week is the game that everyone has been waiting for: the home opener. The Flyers face Needham on Sunday, September 13 at the Framingham State University Field.
