Framingham Will Host A Mini Preliminary Election
Only three precincts will participate in the upcoming preliminary election for the School Committee in one district.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — There's going to be a preliminary election in Framingham this year, but it's likely you won't be casting a ballot.
The city announced that a preliminary election has been scheduled for the District 2 School Committee race, which has three candidates.
David Tomas Gordon, Luther T. Evans and Lorena Tovar will be on the ballot for the Sept. 16 election, in which only voters in Precincts 25, 26 and 27 will cast a vote. The top two candidates will advance to the city election on Nov. 4.

Voting hours on Sept. 16 are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A voter registration deadline has been set for Sept. 6. Registration must be completed by 5 p.m. if being done in-person, or 11:59 p.m. if being done online.
The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.

This year's election will be headlined by a mayoral race between incumbent Charlie Sisitsky and Geoff Epstein, who served on the Framingham School Committee and, previously, on the School Committee in Newton.
