In November and December there were reports of aggressive behavior by seventh graders at Fuller Middle. A BB gun was found in the school, and one student was assaulted and hospitalized. Communication was very late getting out to parents from the school.

On the Tuesday after the February school vacation week, a knife was confiscated at the school. It was brought to the school by a student.

Earlier this week, there was a fight at Fuller Middle, and some parents again asked for communication.

Today, March 3, a new newsletter was introduced by Fuller Principal Sharon Seyeller. It was emailed out at the end of the school day to staff and parents.

"Welcome to our new communication between Fuller, our families, and the wider community," starts the Fuller School Principal's Update.

"Recent events make it clear that we need to continue our improvements in the information we share each day and each week," wrote Seyeller.

The newsletter has three parts, a highlight of the day in the classroom, FYI, and alerts.

The first newsletter, alerts parents to the "brief fight" that happened on Monday morning in a hallway in the school.

One of the highlights is that eighth grade students are learning about engineering design process in their science class.
