Gov. Baker Appoints Leombruno to Framingham Housing Authority

The Framingham Republican is also an elected Framingham Town Meeting member.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Gov. Charlie Baker appointed Janet Leombruno to the Framingham Housing Authority.

Leombruno, who is an elected Town Meeting member, replaces Faith Tolson-Pierce on the 5-member Framingham Housing Authority.

The Massachusetts Governor is allowed one appointment to the Authority’s Board of Commissioners.

Leombruno, a Republican, served as a special assistant to now Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, during the 2014 governor’s race.

Leombruno also serves as a Republican State Committee member for the Second Middlesex and Norfolk district, which includes Framingham, Ashland, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medway, and parts of Franklin and Natick.

She is running for re-election to that position, and last month Gov. Baker and Lt. Gov. Polito endorsed her.

Leombruno has worked on several state-wide campaigns for Republicans and run several Framingham political campaigns. Currently, she is a member fo Framingham First, an organization trying to create a Charter Commission to change Framingham’s form of government.
