The home crowd was ecstatic to see the Flyers take on the Norwood Mustangs in the fourth game of the season.

Framingham kicked off to Norwood at the start of the first quarter and didn’t let the Mustangs do much on offense. Norwood eventually had to punt and gave Framingham the ball in Mustang territory.

Jack Beverley connected with Tramiris Anthony on a 10-yard pass, but not much else was accomplished on the Flyers’ first set of plays. The scoreboard was blank until Jordan Ortiz’s running helped move the Flyer offense. Ortiz had a 30-yard run and Jack Beverley later threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Anthony while being chased by defenders. Norwood didn’t score for the rest of the half thanks to impenetrable defense by Framingham and the Flyers led 8-0 at halftime.

The Flyers had the ball to begin the third quarter and their eyes were set on the end zone. This is exactly where they went.

Jack Beverley’s 25-yard pass to Gabriel Paixao led to another touchdown pass for Beverley to Michael Hildreth.

Despite the touchdown, Framingham’s shutout didn’t last long.

The Mustang running back broke loose on a 48-yard run soon after and made the score 14-7.

Angered by their defensive slip up, the Flyers limited Norwood’s ball movement for the rest of the game.

Anthony had an interception and Sam Stubbs seemingly broke tackles by every Norwood defender to score a 51-yard touchdown. Stubbs followed up his touchdown with a 2-point kick and increased Framingham’s lead to 15 points.

Warren Perez, Christian Maldonado, and the whole Flyer defense had an awesome game which helped Framingham win 22-7.
