Framingham High’s girls indoor track team battled Brookline Line High at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on Thursday evening.

The Warriors defeated the Flyers.

“The final fought to the bitter end and lost a 47-53 decision in the final relay,” said head coach Chris Collins.

Senior captain Hilda Kusi and freshman Leche Small-Brown finished second and third in the 55-meter dash. Kusi ran 7.75 seconds and Small-Brown 7.77 seconds, both are state qualifying times.

Senior captain Olivia Rothenburg won the 300 meter race in a time of 45.72 seconds. Jenny Ribeiro finished second at 45.75 seconds.

Ribeiro, a junior, also finished second in the 1000 meter event.

The Flyers swept the shot put event. Senior Sarah Lucien finished first. Senior captain Ayana McKay finished second and junior Allie Mancall finished third.

Senior Hannah Greenberg won the long jump, with sophomore Sophie Meltzer taking second place for the Flyers.

Senior Ellen Burton had a personal best in the mile at 5:48.13 seconds to take second place. Niamh White finished third at 6:11.59 seconds for the Flyers.

The Flyers won the 4X200 relay in 1:56.29 seconds. On the relay was Kusi, Rothenburg, junior Ashley Wilson and freshman Grace Poku.

And in her first time jumping, freshman Laura Walkup finished third in the high jump.
