Jack's Abby Adds Night Shift Brewing To Growing Company Lineup
This comes after Hendler Family Brewing Company purchased Wormtown Brewery this spring.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Jack's Abby is making another big move in the New England craft beer space by acquiring Night Shift Brewing.
The move was announced this week, meaning that, when the deal closes Hendler Family Brewing Company will employee 300 people, including "the vast majority" of Night Shift's existing team.
This news comes after Jack's Abby announced plans to buy Wormtown in the spring.

At the time, the sale created a new single brewery that will be one of the top 10 largest family-owned brewers in the U.S., and marked the creation of Hendler Family Brewing Company, Jack's Abby's now parent company.
At the time of the Wormtown move, the Hendler family said they would produce about 110,000 barrels of beer per year, almost double what Jack's Abby produced alone in 2023, according to industry estimates.

After the Night Shift purchase, company officials said they project an annual production of 100,000 barrels in 2025—equivalent to 24 million pints or 1.4 million cases— ranking among the top 30 craft breweries in the nation.
But growth isn't the sole purpose for the move, officials said.
“This expansion is not just about growth; it’s about building a stronger foundation for our teams and brands to thrive,” says Sam Hendler, co-founder and CEO of HFB. “By providing resources and stability to brands like Night Shift, Wormtown, and Jack’s Abby, we will ensure that Massachusetts’ craft beer industry remains local and independent for years to come.”
HFB said they're committed to maintaining Night Shift’s core lineup, including Whirlpool, Santilli and Nite Lite.
The taprooms at Boston's Lovejoy Wharf and in Everett will continue to exclusively serve Night Shift products, along with its three Boston beer gardens located on the Esplanade, in Allston, and in Dewey Square.
Additionally, the Level 99 locations and Encore Taproom, while not managed by Night Shift, will also remain in place.
“We are proud to pass the torch to the Hendler Family Brewing Company,” says Rob Burns, co-founder of Night Shift Brewing Inc. “Their commitment to excellence and creativity aligns perfectly with our vision, ensuring that our brand will thrive for years to come. We believe that this strategic move creates the best possible future for Night Shift. We know that HFB will honor the values we built and continue to create exceptional experiences for our fans.”
