Man On Probation Charged After Framingham Dirt Bike Theft
The dirtbike was eventually returned to its owner after police recovered it from a 19-year-old, who now faces a larceny charge.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A dirtbike was returned to its owner after police said a man on probation stole it during what was supposed to be a sale of the bike.
Police recently responded to a man who called 911 stating that a person who claimed to be interested in purchasing the dirt bike stole it from the scam sale instead.
After identifying the suspect from a video of the incident, officers went to his home and could hear a dirt bike being ridden on the railroad tracks and trails behind his residence, police said.

Officers began walking the tracks and encountered the man trying to start the dirt bike that had run out of gas.
After a short foot pursuit, the Framingham man, 19, was taken into custody without incident and was charged with larceny over $1,200.
