Marian High graduate Patricia Sullivan won a Grammy award for best engineered album in the classical category.

The 1981 graduate of the Framingham-based, private Roman Catholic high school, won her award for the album Ask Your Mama.

Based on the Langston Hughes poem, Ask Your Mama was recorded at Skywalker Sound featuring vocalists Angela Brown, Janai Brugger, Nneena Freelon, and Medusa with Questlove (drummer for The Roots), pianist David Loeb, and San Francisco Ballet Orchestra. George Manahan was the conductor.)

Director of Music Recording and Scoring at Skywalker Sound Leslie Ann Jones accepted the award for Best Engineered Classical Album with John Kilgore, Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum, Justin Merrill and Sullivan on stage on Feb. 15.

The album Ask Your Mama was nominated for 3 Grammy awards and won two awards, including Producer of the Year, Classical.
