Meeting on $10 Million Downtown Framingham Roadwork Project Today

Framingham's Economic Development Industrial Corporation will host meeting today, April 7, at 3 p.m. at Amazing Things Arts Center.

There are major roadway changes coming to downtown Framingham.

To update businesses and property owners, Framingham’s Economic Development Industrial Corporation is hosting a meeting today, April 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. so stakeholders can hear the plans for the downtown roadway project.

The $10 million state project will eliminate the rotary in downtown Framingham with traffic lights. Other aspects of the MassDOT project includes streetscape, road and safety improvements.

The project was awarded to contractor E.H. Perkins Construction.

The estimated 2-year project is expected to improve traffic and pedestrian issues downtown.

During the construction, Framingham DPW will operate a project field office at 107 Concord Street.
