MutualOne Awards $1,280 Grant to King Elementary
The money was used for a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.

King Elementary School has received a $1,280 grant from the MutualOne Charitable Foundation to support the implementation of a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in its first year.
The grant was written and submitted by King Principal Kim Taylor, and includes funding for specially designed large banners for the gymnasium and cafeteria, as well as additional banners for all of the hallways and common areas.
The banners contain the words and visuals to support the school's Core Values of Be Caring, Be Cooperative, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. The funding also includes color ink for printing reward stickers, and for purchasing children's literature related to social/emotional learning topics.

"This is exciting news which will assist us in supporting the school and district initiative of PBIS. These resources will make the concepts more visual and connected for our students. We extend great appreciation to the MutualOne Charitable Foundation for considering our request and awarding this grant to King School," said Taylor.
