Perini Corporation Sells Property to Framingham State

About 8 acres of property, assessed at just over $500,000, was sold for $2.26 million.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Perini Corporation has sold a piece of property its owns on Mt. Wayte Avenue to Framingham State University.

The property at 89 Mt Wayte Avenue is described as 8.5 acres of land, with parcel one as about 7 acres and parcel two as 1.5 acres.

The Framingham Assessor’s office has the property assessed at $508,520. The warehouse building is assessed at $77,528, with the land making up the rest of the asssessment.

The Massachusetts State College Building Authority, part of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts purchased the property for $2.26 million in late December.

The project is estimated at $3.59 million by the state agency.

Framingham State last year opened its third commuter parking lot on Salem End Road, after purchasing properties and razing them.

The University has commuter lots for parking also on Maynard and Maple. The University also has a Union Avenue resident student parking lot.
