UPDATED: Professional Photographers Convention in Framingham This Weekend

Framingham resident Paula Swift, a portrait photographer and photojournalist, will present on newborn photography Friday afternoon.

The Professional Photographers of Massachusetts will hold their annual photography convention in Framingham this weekend.

The convention begins Friday, February 26 at the Sheraton Hotel. The convention ends on Monday, Feb. 29.

On Saturday, February 27 all photographers are welcome to attend workshops for free. The rest of the convention is a paid event.

Whether new to the craft of photography, an avid photo enthusiast or a seasoned professional, Professional Photographers of Massachusetts offers photographers the opportunity to learn from some of the finest speakers in the country.

Framingham resident Paula Swift, a portrait photographer and photojournalist will present a hands-on studio lighting program on newborn photography on Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

The Saturday lineup includes wedding photographer Roberto Valenzuela, of Beverly Hills, CA, a Canon Explorer of Lightphotographer presenting a Lighting & Posing Simplified program.

Carl Cox and Jeffrey Shaw, both of New York, will have presentations on HybridPhotography and The Essential Business Model for Photographers, respectively.

Andreia Lima-Makkas of Weymouth will present her program in Portuguese, Be Unique & Make your Photographs Excel on Saturday afternoon.

Bert, Cindy & Al Behnke from Illinois will present In Search of the Perfect Portrait and Getting Creative with Marketing and Social Media on Sunday and Monday.

The Professional Photographers of Massachusetts convention also includes a tradeshow, image competition, networking, camaraderie and an awards party. For more information please visit ppam.com.
