Public Invited to See 'The Weight of the Nation' Tonight [VIDEO]

The MetroWest Health Foundation will host a screening of the HBO documentary series The Weight of the Nation. tonight, Oct. 24 at 6:30 at the Dwight Performing Arts Center on the campus of Framingham State Univeristy.

The Weight of the Nation is a four-part HBO documentary series, that puts the spotlight on obesity in America.

Following the free screening in which the public is invited, the Foundation will host a panel discussion moderated by Janet Schwartz, chair of Framingham State University’s Consumer Sciences Department, featuring local experts:

• Tom Land,  with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health
• Karen McGrail, John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition Director
• Lauren A. Marciszyn, Hockomock Area YMCA Director
• Tammy Vehige Calise, scientist with JSI Research & Training Institute.
