Raising Cane's Cleared To Open Framingham Location
The Board of License Commissioners unanimously approved the restaurant's permit to open. Here's what to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A new chicken chain was given clearance to open in Framingham after a Board of License Commissioners meeting on Monday.
Raising Cane's, the rapidly growing chicken finger shop, was given unanimous approval for a food sellers permit during the Monday meeting.
Approval had, to this point, been held up until the business appointed a manager at the facility. On Monday, the only discussion surrounded late hours at the restaurant.

Officials with Raising Cane's are looking to keep the spot open until 1 a.m. most nights, and until 3:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Mayor Charlie Sisitsky, who must approve restaurants to be open from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., gave support to the chain in an email included in the background agenda packet.

However, those hours were voted down, with councilors instead supporting hours of 9 a.m. to midnight daily.
The chicken finger chain has eight locations in Massachusetts, including three in Boston and one each in Marlborough, Medford, Methuen, Saugus and Seekonk.
Framingham's restaurant will eventually open at 253 Cochituate Rd. It could potentially open in early 2025.
