Newport, RI – The Framingham State University volleyball team took to the road Tuesday evening and defeated Salve Regina University 3-1 in non-conference action at the Rodgers Recreation Center.
With the win, the Rams improve to 10-2 on the season, while the Seahawks fall to 4-8 on the season.

The Rams received strong defensive efforts in the match from senior Danielle Girard, junior Julia Wan, and sophomores Vicki Anderson and Sarah Leonard who all recorded double figure digs.
Girard led the way with a team-best 18 digs, while Wan and Anderson each recorded 14. Wan also picked up seven kills and four blocks, while Leonard added 12 digs, six kills and 25 set assists.

The Rams attack was once again led by junior Alycia Rackliffe who picked up 19 kills on 38 attempts with just five errors. Rackliffe also chipped in with four blocks including three solo.
The Rams are back in action on Saturday at home with a tri-match beginning at 11 a.m. The Rams open the day with a MASCAC match against Westfield State University at 11 a.m. and close the day at 3 p.m. against non-conference foe Suffolk University.
