Remembering Framingham's 9-11 Victims
This Tuesday marks the 17th anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—We all remember where we were when it happened, and Tuesday marks the 17th anniversary of the tragedy that shook the nation. Around the country, many will gather to honor and remember the victims of the 9-11 attack, which occurred on Sept. 11 of 2001. More than 3,000 people lost their lives that day.
Framingham lost two of its own in the attack:
Judy Larocque, 50, from Framingham, worked at and founded Market Perspectives and was on American Airlines Flight 11. "She had a golden retriever named Naboo. They were pillars in her life, said her daughters, Carie and Danielle Lemack. More than that: the dog and the company were her children, too. Larocque had been seeking a new balance of work and life recently, and did so with the intensity she brought to everything." Read the whole New York Times Portraits of Grief tribute here.

Also from Framingham, Laura Lee Morabito was 34, and was the national sales manager for Qantas Airways. She was also on AA Flight 11. She "met her future husband in the jacuzzi at an apartment complex where they were neighbors. They shared an appreciation for Barry Manilow's singing, and they sat on the pool deck sharing a bottle of wine and a pizza all evening, even as rain began to fall."
