Framingham Planning Board to hold public hearing tonight, April 9, to turn a greenhouse/retail store into 8 residential lots.

A developer wants to demolish a greenhouse, retail store, and a single-store home and build 8 new residential properties on Concord Street in Framingham.
The Framingham Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the proposal tonight, April 9, at 7 p.m. in the Ablondi Room in the Memorial Building.
Christopher Johnson of West Dennis submitted an application to convert 661 and 673 Concord street into a subdivision with 8 new residential lots. The current property owners are Greenhouse Realty Trust, Greenhouse Reaity Trust II, and 661 Concord Street Realty Trust.

The proposal is for on the north and south land parcels for single family properties and on the east and west parcel for multi-family residential properties, according to documents filed with the Framingham Planning Board.
The current property is assessed at $642,200.

The developer estimates the redevelopment of the property will increase the assessed value of the properties to $3.5 million.
The project will create about 25 construction jobs, according to the developer the town would lose the $17.645 commercial tax base but create $53,500 in residential property taxes.
