Framingham High goalie Alex Moore earned his first high school victory in net and the team earned its first win of the season.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham High boys hockey team shut out Natick 3-0, Wednesday night to go 1-0-1 on the season.

It was the home opener for the Flyers, under head coach Paul Spear.

Sophomore goalie Alex Moore earned his first varsity win and first shut out. Moore, last month, was part of a Midget A youth hockey team that won a state tournament the same weekend his dad died of cancer.

There was a line out the door to watch the home opener for Framingham at Loring Arena.

Framingham’s Austan Bellefeuille, off a turnover, scored the first goal of the night with less than a minute left n the first period. (Bellefuille was also part of that Midget A youth hockey team.)

Colton Chassie increased the Flyers lead to 2-0, when he scored a short-handed goal 22 seconds into the second period.

Senior Jamie Brigham scored the third and final goal for Framingham.

Moore had 15 saves in the victory.

The Framingham High boys ice hockey team is back in action tonight, Dec. 17 with an away game against Dedham at 5.
